Crochet Hook Holder

Not long ago I started doing crochet and I have already a collection of crochet hooks, and was in need of something to keep them together.
This project was inspired from the lovely book, (cute and easy crochet from Nicki Trench) a great book for all crochet levels.
 I did my on take on the holder. I'm very happy with the final result, it is very practical and easy to carry all my hooks around on my bag for some quick outdoors crochet on the go, love it.
 1,2,3 and voila...

This is the book that inspired me to do my own crochet holder.

Crochet Cushion

I have another small crochet project to share with you today. Since I'm quite new to crochet I wanted to start with small projects to get the hang of it first, then gradually move on to a more ambitious project, and nothing better then the beloved granny squares to give you that great feeling of accomplishment and pride on your work.

I am really pleased with this cushion, it looks great!

Into Crochet Mood

I taught myself to crochet about 7 months ago, and I have been hooked for good.

One day I landed on Lucy's blog http://attic24.typepad.com/, and in there I found my self inspired and motivated to get started, I said to myself if one day I could crochet like her, I love her style, choices of colour, I am a fan. To bad for me I am not able to follow patterns,the US terms and UK terms differences are to confusing for me, but  if you can follow a pattern, have a look at  Lucy's blog you will find  lots of beautiful projects that she kindly shares.

Thank God for  youtube and the lovely kind ladies out there that post tutorials and help people like me,who are visual learners on how to crochet.

Below is my first crochet project, I am very pleased with the outcome I think is not to bad for my first try.

My First Finished Patchwork Project

I always wanted to learn how to do patchwork and quilt. I thought it would be mission impossible for me, and another obstacle was that I couldn't find places to learn here in London.

For my luck and joy I found the best teacher I could wish for, and slowly but surely I am getting there with my patchwork skills. My monthly highlight is when I get to go to my class. New Year's Resolutions!

Hello everyone,

My apologies for the lack of posts. Life is extremely busy for me, I work very long hours and have very little time or no time at all  for my blog and craft  unfortunately, but I'm here today.

I hope you all had a wonderful 2011 and are sealing off to a great 2012. May the New Year bring to you lots of blessings and accomplishments.

As for my self I do have lots in mind for this year in terms of crafting.
To start with I do have a new mantra for 2012.

Stop Buying, Start Finishing.

I have quite few projects on the making, that I'm planning to finish them this year. I tend to start few things at the same time and then I find my self overwhelmed. The  problem is; I feel board if I do the same thing all the time, I am doing a few different projects at the same time, quilts, art journal, cards, scrapbook and most recently knitting and crochet.

So my craft's New Year's resolutions are; to finish what I have started before starting new projects. I do have a feeling the most challenging for me will be not to buy supplies, as I have a "need" to buy paper and fabric all the time, I usually  buy first and think what to do with them later on, most of the time, I definitely have more then enough at home to keep me going for this year. I will do my best not to buy more stuff.

I also would like to do more of my art journaling this year and get back into my scrapbooking.
I will keep you posted as I progress.
